I think your office will see a huge challenge in 2013. I hope this city and council has learned something in 2012 to move our city ahead. This city belongs to the people. Not mayor and council is a message from the people. LISTEN TO THEM.

Hmmmmmm…..

Hmmm is right; when do we get to go to the polls again? Remind me, case we saw a change alright.

People have been calling for her head almost since she got elected in Nov. 2011. Gotta suck it up until 2014.

it would be more joyous and safe if the mayor didn’t put the squeeze on the snow removal crews to save money. Less heavy equipment at work means less service and more dangerous roads. A little sand at some of the icy intersections would be nice.

and when she speaks of progress she is referring to what? The extra money she and Council took when they approved their own massive pay hike, or perhaps it was the taxpayer funded trek to China that she was most proud of, or maybe it was wasting $300,000 of our hard earned tax dollars on the most expensive study in the city’s history or perhaps on! Yeah, a lot of progress alright. Here’s hoping 2013 is boring in comparison.

This is a half year shorter term than before is it not? Thought they were going to have elections in the summer rather than the fall to get more electorate out?

What’s the difference? We haven’t had a logical Mayor since Elmer Mercier — why woud an election change that? We need a Eugene in the chair for a while.
On a positive note; it’s good to see McLaren taking some flak.

“Under current rules, local government elections are held on the third Saturday in November.

“However, that date would change to the third Saturday in October if the current rules are amended in accordance with the recommendations of the Local Government Election Task Force.”

I believe the reason was to allow the budget process to be shifted.

The summer would mean that there would be less people since there will always be around say around 10% or so out of town on vacation.

Has anyone heard a rumour that we will be getting a female City Manager?

I find it interesting that people can find negative things to say in response to a Christmas greeting. I guess any one of you could probably do a betterjob of running the city, you seem to have all the answers and knowledge. I’m not supporting or attacking the Mayor. It would just be nice to see someone say “thank you” when wished a Merry Christmas, and save your brillisnt political criticisms and comments for those particular arenas.

Happy Hanukah and have a Rappin’ Ramadan. Did anyone see the mayor BS’in about the dike project on CKPG news ? And she said with a big cheery smile, expect a tax increase.

Did mayor City or council do anything close to Xmas to ensure we could have a Merry Christmas is more appropriate question that should be asked.

Her word are shallow as everything else she stands for.

“Did mayor City or council do anything close to Xmas to ensure we could have a Merry Christmas is more appropriate question that should be asked.”

I dont know about you, but I had a fantastic Christmas with family from out of town. If you need council to ensure you have a Merry Christmas you might want to think about taking charge of your own life. :) Merry Christmas

Gus, go bury your head in the sand
We dont need your ideas to do what we feel is best for us. And then another link to look important.
Cheers

Let me guess, is her name Kathleen?

I don’t know how the interviewer kept a straight face?
