Prince George, BC – No pressure moms-to-be, but the countdown is on in the race for the region’s baby New Year…

Northern Health’s Communications Department is monitoring maternity departments and promising to post an update – pending parental consent – when the region’s newest little citizen of 2013 arrives.

While there is a high probabability labouring moms will be counting down the hours, it’s unlikely they’ll give anything more than a fleeting thought to exact timing of their births.

They may want to take note of the most popular names just out from BC’s Vital Statistics Agency, showing Liam and Emma topped the list in 2011.
