I have to admit it is pretty hard to take her serious.

She seems not be in touch with the real issues around her.

Saddle up boys, here we go!

What is a JetFM?

independentmike – You must be thinking of Silvio Berlusconi.

In case of Nero … he was blackballed as many people are …. in recent years the versions which are emerging are quite differnt than what likely transpired through his reign.

In many ways, a problem which most politicians suffer from ….. if your enemies are louder than your friends, the stories of the former will prevail.

Sort of like the opinions on this site …. ;-)

Hopeless. In all respects.

JetFM is a radio station in Courtenay, Johnny.

After a glass of very sweet wine that is…

http://www.jetfm.ca/on_air/drex

That is a link to the station’s Drex page. He’s the guy who did the interview.

He is an Australian. I think by now we are getting a pretty good idea of what Australians can be like on the radio. SchlockJocks could be a reasonable description in my opinion.

Clark is no slouch. She is an on air person herself and cn think on her feet. They took the interview off the site,so none of us can hear the original anymore and have to figure out what the context may have been.

A cougar = An older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man.

The action is by the woman …

MILF = a person looked upon by another .. in other words, a way a man looks at a woman ….. has nothing to do with the woman othe than what is in the imagination of the guy …..

Damm good response!!!! to a situation she was placed in.

The only problem is, it requires quick witted people to even understand the meaning she gave it.

She cold have walked out of the studio, for instance …..and that would have gotten her what? … the reputation of the premier who could not take a joke from an Aussie schlockjock.

So what if a good looking middle age man in politics was being interviewed by the female version of this Drex guy?

Would she ask him if he chased after women which might be considered to be robbing the cradle?

Sexism? Sexual harassment? … Call him/her on it on the spot? … or play along with it? That is always the question when confronted by sexual harassment which happens to women more than men. And in this case to a premier ……. Talk about respect. That was the topic on here just a few days ago. Respect. And not too many gave a hoot about that. So, Drex and some of the posters on here can shake each others hands, in my opinion.

“JetFM is a radio station in Courtenay, Johnny.”

Oh, ok. I’m just trying to figure out why I should care what the Morning Zoo got her to say?

I posted a comment a few days ago about Mattyc being just like a broken record and sure enough here he/she is spouting off again.

Every time that I see and hear Jim Sinclair (the real NDP leader) on tv, I can’t help thinking how much I’d like him to put a sock in it. Well Mattyc, I kinda sorta wish that you would put sock in it as well, or at least say something intelligent once in a while!

Please be sure to let us all know when you intend to run for office so that you can put your money where your mouth is!

Sooo! If a guy from the Hart got divorced; could his ex still be his sister? da da ding ding ding…….ding…….ding!

Sooo! If a guy from the Hart got divorced; could his ex still be his sister?
========================================
I dont think so. Cristy Crunch is his sister. He loves her.
Cheewrs

Of all the issues to focus on, people are concerned about MILFs and Cougars? It just goes to show how screwed up people’s priorites are.

Sooooo, after reading the Milf/Cougar stuff one question crossed my mind:

You think she likes Dix?

I apologize in advance.

I guess you did not catch her drift, old white man. With what she responded to the idiotic question from the Aussie MCP, the question should focus on what is on Dix’s mind, not hers.

http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Opinion+Christy+Clark+still+faces+that+double+standard/7750458/story.html

That piece takes the same viewpoint I did in my posts above.

Interesting that no one else on here sees that point of view or anything resembling it.

Shows that Courtney and PG has the same type of MCP people living in their respective communities. Totally no respect.

Instead of the jerk of a schlockjock getting hit with his direspect and inability to talk politics, she is getting hit because she shrugged it off.

Politicians have to roll with the punches and she does it better than most.

gus,

and you have no sense of humor.

As for catching her drift, I really didnt care, a disrespectful topic for a radio station, why bother wasting any time worrying about it.

Lets focus on the other comments on here about the Hartfields and the McCoys.

From what I understand is it was a question asked by a caller out of Duncan, not from the radio jock himself.

Sorry,my bad.It was from a caller out of Comox.

Actualy I have a pretty good sense of humour which is more often sarcastic than anything else. Sarcasm .. tongue-in-cheek .. does not translate very well in this kind of medium …. one needs to see body language with it.

So my interpretation of something which is being retold in different ways after the fact is the ligh hearted version of an event involving a premier who is a bit quicker and street wise than many around her and thus is able to keep up with an Aussie neophyte jerk who does not know what respect is.

So where is your sense of humour AAV?

“it was a question asked by a caller out of Duncan, not from the radio jock himself.”

I realized that, according to the reports that is the way it happened.

The radio jock is in charge of the program and does not have to pass on the questions if they are inappropriate. A radio program is not like a blog. The host is allowed to “censor” for respect, good taste, etc.

Politicians have to roll with the punches and she does it better than most.
========================================

Not being to smart I have to wonder what that means. If is in reference to Cristy Clark. I wouldnt take the time to listen to what she has to say.She is about the worst politician on the globe. Actually she probable thinks that she is still a talk show host that knows it all.

Or maybe she thinks like some of the opinions on this site. There are those that think they have all the answeres and bore us witha lot of gobly gook just to show us how smart they are. Grow up and forget about yourself.
Cheers

gus,

maybe its time you copy and paste an article on sarcasm and humor so you can educate all of us.

Now that is the best suggestion I’ve read for a long time, AAV ….

George Carlin said: “When you think about it, attention-deficit order makes a lot of sense. In this country there isn’t a lot worth paying attention to.”

After all that, I think I’ll stick with Bell, Bond and Rustad, good folks that care about us.

Agree. But how do you get to vote for all three?

Meanwhile, just off BC’s coast we have an oil rig that has run aground because it could not be controlled in a North Pacific storm with four tug boats trying to regain control… two of which are 300 foot vessels with four engines… cables keep snapping, engine failures, 30′ seas and near hurricane force winds… just south of Kodiak and not far from the proposed Gateway route.

And Enbridge says ‘trust us’… same thing Shell said about their vessels.

They are saying now in seas like that no amount of tug boats could pull a vessel that large and keep it in control. A preview if Northern Gateway gets the Pat Bell and Christy Clark nod of approval.

“A preview if Northern Gateway gets the Pat Bell and Christy Clark nod of approval. “

As I’ve said many times, Pat, Christy, and Adrian for that matter can nod or shake their heads until their necks hurt, but it doesn’t matter. The pipeline is Federal.

So, the pipeline is federal. Does not mean it stays that way forever. This might be the case that is needed to start that change.

Things would never change if people took everything lying down!

Rumor has it Dix’ resolution is to try and get rid of the provincial debt, which has tripled under the liberals in these last twelve years. Good luck with that. All I asked for for Xmas was some fiscal conservative party near the centre of the spectrum. I got a lump of coal.

“RUMOR has it Dix’ resolution is to TRY and get rid of the provincial debt”

I heard someone tell me that they will TRY to lose weight this year.

So the operative words are … rumor and try ….

Not worth the breath used to push out the words ……

Next……

Here`s another curious Christy silly goose Clark interview..

Maybe someone should tell the unelected premier the next BC Election is in..

MAY/2013…Not May/2014

http://bc.ctvnews.ca/video?playlistId=1.1091832

This story, one about an oil rig loaded with fuel and oil, broke free from two tethered ships and has grounded, it`s amazing what happens in 65 mile an hour winds and heavy seas..

Tow lines broke, one tow vessel broke down with engine troubles, now an oil rig is grounded on an island in Alaska..

And no mention of this story in the Vancouver sun/The Province/Global news/CTV news, or here at opinion 250.

It relates directly to Enbridge`s claims of safety in towing/tethering massive oil tankers in an island laden/hairpin turn filled/reef/shoal and rock filled Douglas channel…A natural wind tunnel and Hecate strait, the world`s third most dangerous waterway..A place where 100 knot winds blow for days on end.

And may this be the last New Year’s greeting we receive from your office, Ms. Clark.
