Quesnel, B.C. – Two men are facing drug charges following a sizeable marijuana bust in Quesnel on Valentine’s Day.
Members of the North District Integrated Harihuana Enforcement Task Force (NDIME) teamed up with members of the
Quesnel RCMP detachment in executing a search warrant at a residence in the 4700 block of Highway 97 north in Quesnel. They found 1,652 marijuana plants, approximately five pounds of dried bud and grow equipment as well as two industrial-size diesel generators.

North District Media Relations Officer Cst. Lesley Smith says police estimated the street value of the pot at $1.7 million. The two suspects arrested are being charged with Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. They are scheduled to appear in court May 14th.
As well, one of the two males was found to be in Canada illegally. The 34-year-old from Hungary is being held on a detention order and is to attend an Immigration hearing in Vancouver this week. The other suspect is a 59-year-old man from the Lower Mainland.

$1.7 million dollars? Remember boys and girls, crime does NOT pay. And by the way, a policeman IS your friend!
The policeman usually has the best stuff.
Wonder how many of these idiots who buy the stuff and use it complain about cigarette smoke, too funny!
the sad part is the small sentence they will receive. hardly worth the trouble and cost of resources to catch and arrest these perps.
Bikers lost another crop. Oh well, dope doesn’t seem to harm anyone so I suppose the firearms, meth and crack that this would have paid for is a drop in the bucket.
