Burns Lake, B.C.- The design of the new Lakes District Hospital and Health Care Centre has been released.
The project, expected to cost as much as $55 million dollars, is to be built by PCL Constructors Westcoast Inc., the same company that will build the Wood Innovation and Design Centre in Prince George.
Construction is expected to start in the next month or so, with the facility completed in the fall of 2015.
The new facility will house 16 beds, provide acute care and emergency services, diagnostic imaging, a laboratory and pharmacy. There will also be spaces for a medical clinic, mental health and addictions services, public health, home and community care.

Find out who is doing the paving, kidnap him and bring him here.
a pharmacy IN the hospital – will wonders never cease…
Hope they factor in enough parking for staff and patients and visitors and without the huge parking ticket prices.
I’m surprised nobody has been along yet with the old chestnut – “vote buying”.
I see thy are going to be holding up the corner of the roof with a diagonal wood post. A tribute to high tech use of wood.
Surprised no one said anything bout same company building the Wood Innovation Building in PG.
All hospitals have a pharmacy in them.
