New Council Sworn In For Lheidli T’enneh
Prince George, BC – An Oath of Office Ceremony was held last night to officially swear in the Chief and Council for the Lheidli T’enneh Nation.
RCMP Superintendent Eric Stubbs was the master of ceremonies for the event held at the Coast Inn of the North, following the election held in early March.
Dominic Frederick was re-elected as Chief, and Louella Nome was returned as Councillor. Newly elected Councillors Jennifer Pighin and Clarence John were also sworn in, as were the three Lands Authority members elected to four-year terms by acclamation: Elaine Gagnon, Wendy Jael, and Candace Godwin.
Special recognition was given to former Councillors Joshua Seymour and Shirley Wiltermuth for their dedication and commitment to advancing the interests of the Lheidli T’enneh Nation.
