Prince George, B.C. – A third fire that sent a plume of smoke into the air over Prince George this afternoon, appears to have been “knocked down”.
Crews from the Pineview Volunteer Fire department responded to a report of a grass fire in the area of Johnson and Ellis Roads south of the Airport.
Crews were able to get the upper hand on that fire in a short period of time and are in the mop up stage.
Meantime an air tanker is assisting in containing a fire at the south end of Lund Road, south of Buckhorn, and there are still crews working on containing a wildfire near Pilot Mountain on the north edge of the City.
