Central Interior Hit By Power Outages

Prince George, B.C. – B.C. Hydro is reporting power outages in the central and northern regions while Environment Canada warns of the possibility of thunderstorms this afternoon in the vicinity of Prince George.
 
Hydro reports 12 outages at this point, some caused by trees coming down on power lines. More than 1300 customers are affected in areas including Sinclair Mills, Summit Lake, McLeod Lake, north of Tachie, Vanderhoof and Fort Fraser.  Power is expected to be restored by 3 pm in most areas.
 
Meantime a severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect in the Prince George area. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by winds gusting to 60 km/h and large hailstones.

Good thing about the smart meters is we knw exactly how mny residences are affected.. This information means nothing..but at least we know the count
