Prince George, B.C. – Officials have determined that a fire that did one hundred thousand dollars damage at a Winnipeg Street residence early Saturday was arson.
And they are trying to determine whether that incident is related to other occurrences in the area in the same time period. Prince George Fire/Rescue crews were called to a travel trailer fire in the 700 block Winnipeg at 3:34 am.
When they arrived the trailer and two vehicles in the driveway were fully engulfed. There was also some minor damage to the house.
Fire investigators were able to determine that the fire was suspicious and deliberately set. Several residents in the area also had their vehicles broken into and Prince George RCMP are looking for a link between those thefts and the arson.
Police would like to hear from anyone who had their vehicle broken into the night of May 24th. And anyone with information about the arson is asked to call the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
