Damaged Coal Cars Show Up In Prince George

Prince George, B.C. – Officials with CN Rail are checking into the circumstances surrounding damage to a number of coal cars which are sitting in the company’s yard off First Avenue in Prince George.
Several pieces of heavy equipment were spotted in the vicinity of three or four apparently damaged coal cars with full loads which were sitting on the tracks in the yard on Friday. Word on what led to the damage could come from officials with the railway later today.

Anytime there is an accident, or derailment, sideswipe, etc; the Railways have to make a report to the Federal Government within 24 or 48 hours.
So the Government is always aware of what is happening on rail lines. This has been the case for fifty or seventy years, so there is nothing new here.
The Government decides if any further investigation is required.
CN sucks when it comes to the truth,,… Like the burning engine across from paddle wheel park a few years ago.. No diesel made it to,the river.. And yet th river was on fire… UFO maybe.. Anytime a railcar has to be repaired there is environmental damage.. Anytime a railcar has to be rerailed ther is environmental damage.. Their assessment of damage is suspect at the best of times..
HEY…P Val …it is just not CN…every one is so quick to jump down their throats, but If you put your mindset to other big corps., they are all just as bad. Try thinking outside your box for a moment.
I am not defending CN… I am only making a comment that says they are not the only poluters in this country. They move thousands upon thousands of cars through out North America every day and yes,,there may be an accident sometimes,,,no different than the 401 back east with automobiles or our own streets here in PG… at the end of the day accidents happen to all,,,,even big corps. All of them.
