So what is the purpose of this cartoon?

Self explanitory I’d say….you seriously don’t get it??

This is definitely an oil patch worker or cushy office type that was swept away while attempting to put up the sign.

Agree …bater because if it was a government union worker there would be at least three people clinging to the sign…two of them with shovel handle impressions in their chin:P

Is there any evidence that the latest floods were caused by climate change? It’s a common tactic for enviro types to point to climate change for every violent weather system. I’m pretty sure there’s been flooding for thousands, probably millions of years. What caused those floods?

So I guess whoever made or posted this cartoon denies that climate changed before man came along.
There is no proof what so ever how much man has contributed to so called climate changing if any at all despite hundreds of billions spent.
Lots of money being made promoting this scam.
Hey city hall how is that there leaf doing?

People still doubt the science? Climate change is real and anybody that doubts human activity is speeding it along has their head stuck in a most uncomfortable place, that or they belong to the Republican Party. Just think logically for even one minute…dumping millions of tons of c02 into the atmosphere is, again, logically going to raise those levels and heat the entire planet. Sure the climate has changed many times over the ages, long before mans influence, but to deny we are impacting the climate this time is just plain ignorant. IMHO

Poor dodo! Flipping burgers for Wendy’s still? Enjoying those must attend for no pay meetings they have there? What’s it like having to pay your own BC medical premiums and all the other benefits that union shop employees have negotiated with their employers over the years. Can you imagine that dodo, employers signing an agreement to enable their employees to enjoy benefits? What are those employers thinking?

So Bonneville you denying there was climate change before man came along?
Oh by the why it has never been proven that C02 even affects climate and even if it does by how much.
How come life survived when C02 was many times higher in the past?
Did you know C02 is essential for life.
The only warming is in computer models. In the real world there has been no statistical warming for over 17 years now and the Computer models did not see that coming.
Since the PDO is entering its cooling cycle and the AMO is expected to enter its cooling cycle in a couple of years you better invest in some woollies.
If you do not know what the PDO and AMO stand for you better catch up.

Apparently sea mutt can’t read. Pretty clear in my post that I said the climate changed many times before man started helping. Yes, of course I realize co2 is necessary for life. Yes humans and animals can tolerate higher levels, science has proven the levels were substantially higher in the past. So what?! You state the world temperature hasn’t increasd? Please remove head from arse and read a bit. Melting ice caps? Heard about that have you? They are building ships to take advantage if the new shipping route that will soon be navigable. Amazing melt rate of glaciers worldwide, take a look at what’s happening in Iceland. Ice shelfs the size of some small countries breaking free of Antarctic. Yup, no problems here. Of course you are much smarter and have more insight than climate scientists and computer models they have produced. Only a fool can believe things aren’t changing.

It is you that is getting the short end of the stick bater and get paid less than someone doing the same work in almost any other union or the private sector…maybe donate another few more hours to the brothers and sisters every month and they might work a bit harder on your behalf…oh yeah they are union and only do the minimum req’d.
BTW don’t worry about me got a lovely pension waiting along with rrsp’s etc.

Oh bonneville very mature debate, very mature.
You do know that mans contribution to Co2 is only about 2% of total, the other 98% is natural and that Co2 follows temperature not the other way around. Again no one has proved what effect C02 has if any. You got the proof? It has been said if C02 has any effect it was only in the first 20 PPM. How come we did not burn up when C02 was many times higher, got an answer? Ice caps well the Arctic does not seem to be disappearing and the Antarctic is increasing in volume. It has been shown by physical evidence ice extent has been a lot less in the past and hey the seemed to survive.
What is wrong with ice shelves breaking off? That just shows the natural progression of glaciers.
You do know that any accurate measure of the Arctic has only been in the last 30 years or so since satellites have been used hardly long enough to show a trend. Wonder what the Arctic looked like during the hot 40’s and 50’s. How about the Medieval and Roman periods when temperatures were hotter than now. A submarine surfaced at the north pole in the 50’s amazing.
About those scientists, have you heard of climatgate? Lots of money to be made of the scam just Gore and Suzuki. Hey those two are not climate scientists but always quoted, as they rake in the bucks.
Oh just what do you think of the hundreds of millions Gore has made of the scam. Seems like that is where you get your misguided information. You really have to broaden your information sources. I am amazed at the information I can find when I pull my head out of my arse.
Those computer models, how come they don’t match real world observations. Though it has been shown that real world observations are being adjusted to try and match models.
I still suggest you invest in woollies.
Oh I acknowledge your saying climate has changed but I was mainly in reference to the blog.

Does it really matter what happened to the climate before man was here? I mean really, we weren’t here so why would anyone care about it?
Now that we are here and actually walking on the face on the earth, one would think that we would care about something that could impact our ability to stay here and continue to walk on the face of the earth.
Seems pretty straight forward to me, no?

Looking at climate history shows us nothing out of the ordinary is happening now. In fact it shows an overall cooling trend for the last 2 thousand years. We are after all very near the end if the present interglacial.

If the temperature of the planet spiked 75 degrees tomorrow, killed every living thing in a 24 hour period and then went back to the same temperature as it was today, it wouldn’t it even register as an event on a 2,000 year trend and yet we’d all be dead. Who cares about a 2,000 year trend?
If we want to try and determine if man is having an impact on climate change, why don’t we try and isolate the analysis to the period of time when man would likely have had the most dramatic impact on the climate as a result of our presence on earth. For example, what does the analysis say when we look at climate change since the industrial revolution?

How do you know if man had an effect? The earth has been warming since the little ice age no one argues that did man have an effect in the last while? No proof anywhere.

You have no idea of the issues do you? Climate science is a corrupted science and is turning into an imbaresment to honest scientists. You really have to look beyond main stream media.
Since you take the word of a climate scientist as gospel, what do you think of two scientists who don’t agree?
Another thing I have not seen you refute anything I have posted.
