Temperatures Set To Sizzle
Prince George, BC – Prepare to bake this Canada Day…
And, no, you probably won’t want to turn your oven on – Mother Nature is planning a hot one…
After yesterday’s high of 30-degress in Prince George, Environment Canada is calling for even more sizzle this afternoon with a forecast high of 32-degrees. If we hit that mark, we’ll be within a degree of breaking a record set in 1942 when the mercury hit 32.8-degrees.
It’s also 11-degrees above the normal high of 21 for this time of year. There is the risk of an afternoon thundershower. The entire region is facing a scorcher with the chance of afternoon thundershowers.
McBride, Quesnel, and Williams Lake are all forecast to hit 33 today. Mackenzie will see a high of 27, while it will be a more moderate 23 in both Smithers and Terrace.
Kamloops and Cache Creek will take the heat to a whole new level, climbing to 38, with Kelowna a close second at 37 degrees. Vancouver and Victoria are forecast to hit 28 and 27, respectively.

I drove south yesterday. Hottest spot was Spences Bridge at 39C at 5pm.
A wonderful day to see half of the north south range of geography that BC has.
