Lol..he stole from a car that was set up as a trap. How pathetic are the cops..
Here is some help for the RCMP. Next time you set a trap be there….lol
They should have rigged up a cattle prod in the seat. That would have slowed him down.
Should have used a barbed hook.
ahhahahh that was funny….
Shoulda left a cell in there that has a tracking program.. or something like that..
really, what good is it to set the trap and then not have anyway of tracking the stolen items
Ummm???? Should the bait car have not been under Surveillance? WTF?
“Uh, Dah… lets put the BAIT car here and we will go to Timmies and hope the thief stays here and doesn’t take anything till we get back!”
PGMAKESMECRAZY, that was funny!
The cops were to busy…
A) Picking out their new office at the new RCMP Building?
B) Racing off road in their new UTV?
C) Racing around town in their million dollar tactical vehicle?

this is SO embarrassing that the RCMP waited over a month to release the pics … meanwhile the thief has been able to maintain his income for another month without apprehension … maybe the Rockford files should become mandatory viewing for those officers conducting a stakeout
Really…. some of you want to pay hours upon hours for a cop to sit for days and nights in the hope that someone will hopefully break into a specific car? The cops respond when the car is broken into(silent alarm)- so they missed him this time, but they have video of the crook. No wonder our taxes are so high when people want cops sitting on bait cars all over the province.
NC: “Really…. some of you want to pay hours upon hours for a cop to sit for days and nights in the hope that someone will hopefully break into a specific car?”
No. Many people would rather make lame jokes about Tim Hortons, etc.
Apparently the fisherman should’ve been using a set line for this operation if they were going to sleep while dangling their bait in the water.
Awesome high quality photos too by the way. What they using for a camera an old Kodak disposable?
Ok, a cattle prod might have been harsh. Maybe they could have locked the doors and flooded the car with tear gas or bear spray? He might even think twice about doing it again.

YES! That is what they are payed for… sure are not doing much else. Our taxes will be high whether they are sitting at Timmies or sitting watching a BAIT car, which would you rather they be doing?
Some of you super genius’s do realize that the bait car was probably set up for a car thief, not just a petty break in, right?
I also hope none of you amazingly talented Timmies comedians never use your lunchroom at work or take coffee breaks either – ya know, cause that might be hypocritical and all…
They’ll catch up with him.
Interceptor.. The alarm was set off.. And he still got away with some goods.. That’s the pathetic part.
Guess bait car really means is.. Come take what ya want because we won’t get there in time to do sh&t
Hey all you PG brainiacs….guess what the BAIT in the BAIT car is worthless junk…set there to attract morons like this guy. Its “BAIT” similar to fish like things that shine…you don’t use a diamond necklace do you…does anyone think that some guy is going to break into a car with a police car sitting around the corner at 3am….the video that I’ve seen on but tbaitcar.com is pretty good. Maybe the fact its a picture from a video causes it to be of poor quality.
But alas its easier to bash the guys and gals out there working to help the citizens of PG. I know I’ll get some flack for this post but there are just so many smarter people in PG than me who spend their whole days commenting on 250.
I’ve seen that guy on every street corner, in every city.
Why not just have the bait car lock all doors and windows and pick the guy up next week?
The bait bling is placed in the bait car, or truck in this case, to entice our friendly neighborhood superheros to break in and steal it or perhaps even to take the vehicle and everything in it. Whether or not the bling is useless junk or not isn’t the point. Not catching said superhero because no one was watching is the point.
