Prince George, B.C. – The Ness Lake Bible Camp opened up its doors this weekend to everyone who wanted to help celebrate the camp’s 60th birthday.

One of the many members of the camp’s Summer Team 2013, Liam McPaul, notes that the birthday celebration was held in conjunction with the Family Camp being held through the long weekend. And he pointed out the many activities people could take part in. “We have campfires, a waterfront (pictured right) that has boats going in and out all the time, jungle swings, zip line, a new climbing wall this year, lots for people to do.” And he expected about 300 people to join the 100 or so Family Camp attendees for the barbecue dinner which, judging by the fragrances wafting through the camp, included some incredible smoked salmon.
The Ness Lake Bible Camp caters to kids of all faiths, offering them an idyllic setting, superb recreational facilities and a great staff. Roughly 55-thousand kids have stayed there.
Operational funding for the camp is raised through numerous donations and the attendance of campers, both on-season and off. As well, school groups are invited out in the fall.
