Prince George, B.C. – One person is in custody following a report of an armed man in the 2100 block of Norwood Street in Prince George.
RCMP say they got the call around 7:30 this morning and responded immediately to the area.
Within a few minutes, a suspect was spotted leaving a mobile home park near the corner of Strathcona Avenue and Norwood Street.
Although the suspect took off running, he was apprehended a short time later.
The “guns” turned out to be two pellet hand guns, but the man was found to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on another matter. He was arrested and remains in custody on that warrant.
Further charges are not being considered.
