Kids Toys Stolen From Museum

Museum Executive Director, Tracy Calogheros says someone backed up a truck to the station late last night, broke into the building and made off with hundreds of dollars worth of children’s toys.
“It’s all boxes of Melissa and Doug wooden train sets, train puzzles, engines, whistles and a variety of other items from the Little Prince Gift Shop” says Calogheros.
(At right, a Melissa and Doug train set, similar to that stolen from the gift shop)
The total value is not high enough for an insurance claim, so the Museum will have to eat the loss and that will have a direct impact on the revenues for the the Little Prince operations for this season.
“I have no idea who would steal children’s toys, I don’t know what they could do with them other than have a bang up kids party or maybe sell them or pawn them or whatever” says Calogheros.
She is hoping 250News readers will keep an eye open for the items. Should you come across anything or saw anything last night, or have any information on this theft, you are asked to contact the RCMP.

How low can you go? So to be seen at a garage sale?
Keep a close eye on kijiji and craigslist.
That’s twice Exploration Place has been hit with theft this season, first in their children’s garden and now in their toy store. I heard that in previous years they had all of their hanging flower baskets stolen. That has to be very disheartening.
