Prince George, B.C. – It’s a brand new hockey season and the Prince George Cougars, hot out of the gate in the Western Hockey League pre-season, are putting their charges on display this weekend outside CN Centre.
The Cougars are inviting everyone out to “Meet The Pack” today from noon to 2pm in the CN Centre parking lot outside the Cougars office. The players with the club for the 2013-14 season, along with the team staff, will be there to meet the public, sign autographs and play ball hockey with kids 12 and under. All participating youngsters will get a ticket to the Cougars home opener September 27th against the rival Kamloops Blazers. There will also be hot dogs for sale with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters Prince George.
Cougars Vice-president Brandi Brodsky says “this is a great opportunity for our fans to meet the 20th anniversary edition of the Prince George Cougars while also raising money for a tremendous cause in our community.”
The Cougars open the regular season Friday night in Portland against the defending WHL champion Winter Hawks.
