Prince George, B.C. – The power is out in much of College Heights this morning, impacting some 2507 customers. SD 57 Superintendent Brian Pepper says despite the outage, schools in College Heights are operating as normal today. BC Hyrdo expects to have the issues fixed by 10:30 this morning.
That is not the situation in Valemount. The power went out at about 3:19 this morning in that community , leaving more than 900 customers in the dark. Pepper says schools in Valemount ( Valemount Elementary and Valemount Secondary) will NOT be open to classes today. Staff are on site and will supervise sturdents until transportation home can be arranged.

Except for the Montessori school on Gladstone. They are advising to pick kids up due to it being very dark and that there is no heat. But I am sure Mr. Pepper forgot to mention that to us all.
Redneckrye, sorry to hear that Mr Pepper did not call you personally to inform you every little detail
Power is on
For those who homeschool their kids, this was nothing more than a minor inconvenience! ;-)
