Yesterday, we hit a high of 2.3 degrees. The record high for December 1st was set back in 1987, when the temperature climbed to 7.6 degree, but we will get nowhere near that today, as the thermometer is set to fall to minus 7 by this afternoon.
Environment Canada is callilng for rain showers this morning, turning to flurries this afternoon. Tonight, there will be between 2cm and 4cm of snow and blowing snow as the wind kicks up to between 40 and 60km/hr. The temperature will drop to minus 14 overnight.
Tomorrow – take note – there is a risk of frostbite as the kids head back to school and the work week begins. With wind gusts up to 70km/hr in the morning, the temperature will feel like minus 29, with the wind chill. Snow is also in the forecast tomorrow morning. Both the wind and snow will ease by noon. The high is forecast to reach minus 11.
For Tuesday and Wednesday, cold and clear. Sunshine and daytime highs of minus 11 and minus 13, respectively. The overnight low will drop to minus 23 on Friday.

Because Harper isn’t doing anything regarding global warming all the rain is causing strain on our storm sewer. So we need more money from the Feds because it’s their fault that we need to update / repair our infrastructure!
Gasp⦠it looks like we might finally be getting a week or two of winter weather? That’s OK, because it is a virtual guarantee that more global warming weather will arrive in December.

I linked to this article intentionally, not just because it mentions “global warming” but because during the next brief cold snap, Hart Gal will likely mention how cold it is, despite scientific claims of global warming!
It is amusing to watch the arm chair critics trying to discredit NASA, the EPA, and all those climate scientists. It’s almost as if these arm chair critics actually believe their own baseless rhetoric instead of accepting scientific facts! They must be Conservatives.
I am just disrediting the weatherperson. The prediction has been for cold weather for a week … perhaps it will actually happen tonight/tomorrow … perhaps not.
Right now the sun is trying to come out and its +4C in our part of town.
If the wind is relly going to pick up to that level, the WDIC contractror should make sure that a 3 storey high wood panel does not get blown down. It has a brace or two to mid panel. Not sure what wind pressure that is desined for.

We (humans) are the ones who are suppose to be responsible for this planet’s health and welfare! We need a healthy planet for us to survive. But when I read reckless and irresponsible comments like buzzinga’s I think maybe we don’t deserve this planet!
Just finished work and thought I’d have a look at what’s going on here. Must say that I’m a little bit puzzled about People#1 wondering where my sister Hart Gal has been!

Dodo bird, Carrier Pigeon extinct forever. We can look at them in books. Don’t worry about Mother Earth people#1, one little hiccup and humans will vanish like the dinosuar. She will correct herself when we are gone.
Ask yourself, how many species became extinct because of the last ice age? Seen any woolie mammoths around lately? Even if all human activity stopped today the earth will continue to warm up if we are on a warming cycle. But humans aren’t going to stop anytime soon unless a whole bunch get wiped out from some kind of global event.
People#1 do you think china gives a rats ass about global warming or the environment since it pumps out 5 times the pollution that North America gives, get real no one can stop any of this so just sit back and relax and let the money makers control the world.
