Prince George, B.C.-  The BC Coroners Service is investigating a tragic death that  occurred  at Powder King on the weekend.

250 News has confirmed, a 27 year old  woman  was snowboarding out of bounds on Saturday, December 14th, when she landed in a tree well, then  plunged head first into deep  snow.  She was not able to free herself  and died at the scene.

Her  identity and hometown have not yet been released.
