Snowfall Causing Travel Delays
Environment Canada image shows storm system that is moving eastward across BC
Prince George, B.C. – The New Year is off to one very snowy start in the Central Interior of BC.
The heavy snowfall caused several delays at the Prince George Airport, with some flights diverted this morning. The schedule seems to be close to normal for the balance of the day, but do check with your airline for the latest arrival and departure information (or click here)
If you are heading to the Airport, make sure you give yourself lots of time to make sure you arrive safely as the roads are anything but pleasant.
Environment Canada was predicting 2-4 centimeters for the Prince George area today, and possibly another 2 centimetres of snow tonight
A snowfall warning remains in effect for the McGregor and Yellowhead. The two regions east of Prince George are expected to receive 10-25 centimetres of snow before tomorrow morning.
There is a problem on Highway 16 east at Slim Creek, where a tree has fallen across the highway. That stretch of Highway 16 is reduced to single lane alternating traffic.

I wonder if anyone has heard anything about some loggers trapped from all the snow in the Upper Fraser McGreggor area? Sounds like they got snowed in and the trucks aren’t running for now, because they can’t keep up on the snow removal.
