Terrace, B.C.- Terrace RCMP believe there may have been a third vehicle involved in a fatal crash Tuesday.

The collision between a Honda Civic and a Gravel truck west of Terrace along Highway 16 claimed the life of a 27 year old Prince Rupert man.

Investigators are now hoping the public can help police identify the driver of a third vehicle that Mounties believe fled the scene toward Prince Rupert.

The vehicle is described as a dark coloured Dodge pickup which might have front passenger side damage.

The  deceased was a passenger in the Honda Civic, the 31 year old driver of the car, a Prince Rupert resident, was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the driver of the gravel truck suffered minor injuries.
