Prince George, BC – Coldsnap 2014 got off to a hot start on Friday night with a sold-out 'Block Party' in the ballroom at the Ramada…
The Khast'an Drummers set the tone for the evening – getting everyone up on their feet – and performances by Dear Rouge and The Boom Booms kept the dance floor was full for the remainder of the evening.
The week-long festival runs until next Saturday and features a series of 'Come in From the Cold' afternoon workshops throughout the week that are free to the public, as well as evening concerts with rising musical talents.
Today's workshop is a songwriting roundtable and discussion between 1-3pm in the NUGSS Events Centre at UNBC, with musicians Royal Wood and Catherine MacLellan. This evening's 'Back in the Neighbourhood' Concert will showcase musicians from northern BC, including Prince George's Whisky Finger, and Fraser Lake's Stacy Reynolds. The concert starts at 7:30pm at the Artspace above Books and Company, with tickets by donation ($10 is suggested).
