Prince Rupert Man Charged In Local Crime Spree

Prince George- A 32 year old man from Prince Rupert is facing eight charges in connection with a series of offences that occurred in Prince George and Vanderhoof.

Anthony Halmut Pfrang, is charged with break and enter, break and enter with intent, Possession of stolen property over $5,000.00 , possession of property obtained by crime(seven counts),attempted theft of a vehicle under $5,000, Assaulting a peace officer (two counts),resisting arrest  (two counts), and trafficking in property obtained in a crime.

Pfrang was arrested on Tuesday  after he was arrested at a   break and enter in progress. He also is a person of interest in the theft of a vehicle at another location on South Shelly Road, east of Prince George. Pfrang resisted arrest  while being taken into custody.

As a result of the evidence obtained on that arrest , police have been able to link Pfrang to a commercial Break and Enter that occurred at the Brookside Resort near Cluculz Lake on Highway 16 on Monday.

In that case, a pickup, was driven through the front of the store, and then abandoned partially inside. Cigarettes, and other items were taken. The pickup had been stolen from Pacific Street in Prince George, on January 17th.

Pfrang is also a person of interest, in other vehicle thefts, in the Prince George area over the past few weeks.
