Prince George, B.C. – Organizers of this year’s Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life are encouraging participants to sign up early.

The relay, the only 24-hour Relay for Life in Canada, will be held May 10th and 11th at Masich Place Stadium.  Society Regional Director Margaret Jones-Bricker says “the earlier you register for the relay the more impact you can make to the Canadian Cancer Society’s research, prevention and support initiatives.”   Until March 1st the registration fee is $10 per person.  After that it increases to $20.  The registration deadline is April 25th.

If you need assistance in registering you can go to the society’s office at 1100 Alward Street between 4 and 6pm on Feb. 25th, Mar. 11th and Mar 25th.

The 2013 relay in Prince George raised a local record of just under $549 thousand.  The participants in this the 22nd annual Prince George Relay for Life are being challenged to raise $100 each.
