Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George is once again hosting the annual Volunteer Recognition and Youth of the Year Awards.

The public is asked to nominate people in the community who step up and give their time and effort voluntarily for the benefit of others.  Each year several awards are bestowed on volunteers who contribute so much and make a difference.  These individuals are recognized and honoured at the April 26th Civic Appreciation Dinner.

There are four types of awards including: the Recreation Award, Community Service Award, Youth of the Year Award and the Outstanding Volunteer Award.  Nominations can be submitted at City Hall with a deadline of 4:30pm on March 3rd, 2014.
