Telkwa Man Wins Harley

Prince George, B.C.- The winner of the Prince George Fire Rescue Harley Davidson draw is…..
Greg Wacholtz of Telkwa.
The draw this afternoon at the Prince George Harley Davidson dealership also saw Tate Wright of Prince George win the second prize of a $500 gift certificate at the Harley Dealership, and third prize of $250 gift certificate at the Harley dealership was won by Doris Burns of Chetwynd.
But the real winner in this draw is the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, which was presented with a cheque for $70 thousand dollars, the dollars raised through the sale of tickets on the 2014 Harley Davidson Breakout.
“This is the 24th bike raffle we have conducted” said Greg Houston, Chair of the Harley Davidson draw committee, “it is the 17th draw which has raised funds for the Spirit of the North Healthcare foundation. Over the years we have raised $625 thousand dollars for the Healthcare Foundation.”
The latest dollars have gone towards the purchase of a $1.4 million dollar CT Scanner, and that fundraising effort is nearly complete.

No sooner had the firefighters posed for the photo of the cheque presentation, when the radio call came in, calling on the firefighters to report to a call. With a flash, they were out the door and into the fire trucks that were parked outside the Harley dealership.
The draw was sold out a week ago. Houston says it takes about 600 volunteer man hours to sell all those tickets.

Sidesaddle on a motorcycle. LOL
I know someone in Quesnel named Denis V. that does that, or at least he use to!
Scared the heck out of our friend Vern B.
Something good comes out of Telkwa!!!
Ummmm…where is the man who won? Isn’t it customary to have the winner in the picture?
Seems the PG FireFighters are blowing their own horns. Great for the money raised for Spirit of the North but the man who won should be sitting on the bike. Not Greg?!
OmG some people over think things. The winner is from out of town so the committee chair snapped a pic for the announcement. Good grief.
Way to go Greg and crew!
Telkwa is 362 km’s from PG. Maybe the guy couldn’t make it to the presentation. Maybe the winner doesn’t like to have his picture taken. Maybe the winner doesn’t give a crap and is going to sell it anyway. Maybe the winner feels the same about firefighters as you do.
On the bright side, with that $250 certificate, Doris can now buy that Harley t-shirt she’s always wanted.
Right, I suppose Telkwa man must make the trip to pick up his winnings just like anyone who wins anything from bc lotto to Kamloops. PG Fire can’t take their fancy truck and trailer to deliver it now can they?
And same with Doris right? Probably no Harley Dealer in Chetwyn. But maybe she’ll give it to someone she knows in PG.
You know, I really like OP 250 for news. They get the happenings up quick. But it would be nice to have everyone’s opinions be just that…opinions…but then there’s middle finger and interceptor and joe trucker and coffeeshop bob who have to be the misinformed rednecks ramming their rambling down everyone’s throats. Get a life.
Sunsets….was that not you at 9:02 am taking uncalled for shots at fire fighters for the hog raffle ? Do you know the winner personally ? Is the winner heart broken for not having a picture on 250 ?
Maybe should have called yourself rainstorm instead of Sunsets.
So you like the news “up quick” but you would rather wait a week or two or three so you can have a picture of the winner when he comes to town? And you think the fireman are “blowing their own horn” when they donate hundreds of hours to fundraising?
I think I know who the uninformed redneck is there Sunsets…
However I suggest you take your own suggestion and “get a life” and not worry about how the fireman spend their time – until you need them of course.
Well, looks like you guys are blowing your own horns now huh?
Seems like this is Forensics 250 rather than Opinion 250. Yep it was 9:02am Sunday march 16 that I posted my opinion on Opinion 250.
Yay for the money raised.
Not fond of PG Fire…many reasons, I’ll blow my horn about that elsewhere
Congrats to my friend in Telkwa…yes have a personal connection !
I hope you all kind find some healthier things to do with your Sundays rather than sit with your electronic device, stalk people on the Internet, drink coffee and fill your ashtrays with butts.
Have a great day and the last word is yours!
So, Sunsets, would you be mad at your friend for having his picture taken with PG Fire & Rescue ? Sounds like a no win situation for Sunsets.
You could always take a picture later and send it to 250. No firemen, just Greg and the Harley.
