Mechanical Concern Cuts Terrace Flight
Terrace, B.C. – Terrace RCMP say passengers and crew aboard a Hawkair flight to Vancouver had a quick turn-around to Northwest Regional Airport Monday after a mechanical issue surfaced.
Flight 113 took off at 1:30 from Terrace, but the pilots decided to return to the YXT to have the mechanical issue checked out. RCMP and emergency crews were called out to the airport on standby, but the plane landed without incident.
“The flight crew showed professional judgment and followed company procedures by advising Vancouver Centre and the Flight Services Station of the return. The aircraft has been inspected and the identified issue is being addressed prior to the aircraft returning to service,” said Jay Dilley, President Hawkair Aviation quoted in an RCMP release.
There were 16 passengers and three crew members aboard the plane.

Clearly the Mossad tried to remotely hijack the plane. It must be true I read it on the internet.
If someone with a broomstick goes under the wing before take off and goes blam blam blam with it and then says, ” OK. Try it now”. I’d worry.
Hawkair’smain hangar, mechanics and parts are all there. It’s better for them to go back to Terrace.
Nicely done, Hawkair. We all appreciate professionalism.
Good time to create a company like BCAA but instead of autos they could focus on airplanes. Skip the airborne tow trucks tho.
Good decision made by the pilot, we don’t need to make the headlines.
