Tete Jaune Cache- A 54 year old woman has been identified as the person who died Tuesday,when the snow machine she was  riding on ,collided with a tree near Valemount.

Dead is Felicia Ann Eaton, of Tete Jaune Cache. She was riding with a group of five snowmobilers in the backcountry of the Small River water shed , about 60  kilometers northeast of highway 16, at about 2pm. April 15th.

Ms. Eaton was attempting to ascend a steep slope when she lost control of her  machine and plowed into a tree. She died at the scene.

RCMP and the BC Coroner Service continue to investigate.
