Williams Lake, B.C. – Police in Williams Lake are investigating a shooting death which they say was a targeted incident.

At 3:45 this morning the Williams Lake RCMP responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of 11th Ave North.

Upon arrival officers found a 22 yr old Williams Lake man deceased at the scene. A 21 year old woman was also located and was transported to hospital to be treated for non life threatening injuries.

This investigation is being treated as a homicide and the North District Major Crime Section along with a Forensic team have been called in to assist the Williams Lake RCMP.

The deceased man was known to police and this homicide is believed to be a targeted incident.  This investigation is still in its early stages so no further information will be released at this time.
