Legebokoff Trial Resumes
Prince George, B.C.- The trial of Cody Alan Legebokoff resumes this morning.
He is accused of murdering four women from 2009 to late 2010 in Prince George and near Vanderhoof although the body of one has not been found.
With a shaved head, and trimmed goatee, the 24 year old showed no emotion as the Crown described the evidence it will present to press its case.
Crown says it has DNA of the four women on a variety of items in his apartment including a pipe wrench, leatherman style knife, a couch, shorts, hoodie, drapes, a sheet, carpet, shoes and the passenger seat of Legebokoff’s truck.
Crown also says the four women, Jill Stuchenko, Natasha Lyn Montgomery, Cynthia Maas and Loren Donn Leslie, had been severely beaten, and that “a variety of tools” had been used to kill these women.
The trial is being heard by a 14 person jury made up of 10 men and four women.

Since we don’t have the death penalty, and yet some like Legebokoof and the pig farmer in Lower Mainland deserve nothing less… I wonder if he could still be sentenced to a locked room with nothing but air with the key thrown away. I think going hungry in darkness with a lot of time to realize ones demise would be the worst punishment, so he doesn’t get out easy.
The Vestal Virgins in ancient Rome use to live under this threat if they broke their chastity to be with no man while under duty to the temple of the Vestal Virgins. A cruel punishment more fitting for the likes of Legebokoff.
Can one legally be sentenced to death through neglect, so as to have no one person directly responsible for the dastardly deed? We see milder forms of government neglect elsewhere in society like Veteran Affairs, or seniors in general, so why not for the hardest of hard core criminals found guilty in a court of law. Sentencing a guy like this to the Hilton on the hill is an injustice to the victims… and on top of that he is not co-operating so he deserves no mercy.
Amazing, people have already got this guy convicted and sentenced….
Let the courts do their jobs, or we might as well not have them…..
Obviously you haven’t followed the story bcracer. Normally I would agree with your statement but this guy is guilty. This is one sick, disgusting individual that should never be allowed outside the walls of prison.
6 to 8 Month Trial, what takes so long. I do feel for the Jury .
Sometimes, we just need the old justice system back. Since he has no respect for life, he should not deserve any respect for his life.
Let him rot in the $hittiest hole in the countries prison for 10 years, and then get four strong horses and have him drawn and quartered.
This is not selling weed or drugs on the street. This is not car theft to feed an addiction.
This person is a premeditated murderer. He kills people for his own personal satisfaction. We want justice served, Make him feel the pain that the victims felt.
Should he be incarcerated for life, and have it cost us 6 million dollars. No, torture that waste of skin for 3 months, and then have him beg for the 25cent .22 to the head.
I’m sure the victims family will do the torturing for free.
All 4 trials will be held in that time period I believe, thats why it is so long. Makes sense to me that the same jury would be used for all 4 murder charges. These young ladies deserve justice. I sympathize with the family of this guy but I have none for someone like him. He took the lives of 4 young women, one that was only 15 years old. I believe in the death penalty and its time to bring it back. Why are we wasting money to feed these sicko’s? An eye for an eye!
