The new insignia and the all new jackets will cost the taxpayer more than five million dollars, money that could have been used for better support of the veterans and their families, in my opinion.

This is not a problem, the military is making up the difference by hiring foreigners to fly F-18s instead of training Canadians to save money. YUP…an extension of Harper’s love of the TFW program. Seamut your blind following of this government is so amusing…if it wasn’t sad….oh ya, there is a SHORTAGE of young Canadian jocks that would like to and are capable of flying a jet…RIGHT>..they all want to stand out in forty below welding a pipeling…lol http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/2014/06/23/air_force_hiring_foreign_pilots_to_fly_frontline_jets.html

“Ya but how much is this over and above ongoing present uniform costs?”
The 5 million cost is arrived at by the fact that perfectly good uniforms have to be turfed and replaced with brand new ones as the old insignia can not be removed and replaced with the new ones.
BTW, the new helicopters which will replace the old ones are lacking the most important feature asked for by the military: The ability to keep flying for at least thirty minutes even if all the oil has leaked from the gearbox! The news says that Sikorsky could not meet that vital specification but that it was awarded the contract anyways!

Excuseme, Excuseme what blind following I have issues especially about how veterans are treated. What you a fan of that spoiled income trust brat.
Hey as for uniform costs how about when the liberals brought in the bus driver uniforms? As for the helicopter don’t forget we wouldn’t be in this mess if it wasn’t for the liberals cancelling a contract for 500 million.
The systems on the helicopter make it almost impossible to have a failure.
