Lyn Hall To Run For Mayor

Wednesday, June 25, 2014 @ 12:15 PM

Prince George, BC – At a news conference on the front steps of City Hall, Prince George City Councillor Lyn Hall has announced he will seek the Mayor's chair in the upcoming civic election.

Hall has served one term on city council, prior to spending 10-years as a School District 57 trustee – five of those as Chair.

So far, there is one other declared candidate – former Councillor Don Zurowski, who is attempting a comeback in civic politics.

Zurowski ran unsuccessfully against Dan Rogers, when Rogers became Mayor.

A outhouse could run and would beat green if she ran again..

Not quite ready for the big chair IMO. Less than stellar performance in the first half of his term as councillor, found his footing a bit more as of late but I think Don would be a better mayor at this point.

I’ll see what they have to say during the campaign and then decide.

Whether it’s for Mayor or for Councillor, I’ll be looking at the candidates’ past voting ways on the issues that irk me.

Ewitt, it is all smoke and mirrors when on the campaign trail as evidenced by the 10 percent cuts in every department line and the core review to find duplication and efficiencies within the big house which it stayed away from that we were all spoon fed so our current mayor could sit in the big chair.

Zurowski is in trouble. I’m afraid Pat Bells involvement has sealed dons fate. This is going to a great campaign. My money is on Lynn.

I wonder if he’ll answer questions with, “I’ll send you an email” like he did during the last round of schools closures? I’m still waiting for my email.

A lot of people will never forget his arrogance at those meeting and hopefully no one forgets just how useless he’s been as a councilor. He got in on name recognition and nothing else last election.

Looks like a bigger crowd than the BCTF rally yesterday…just an obsevation…

Want the candidates do and say during the campaign have to pass the sniff test. What Green said last go around had a definite whiff of bull crap that even $85,000 in campaign perfume could not hide.

With a bit of luck Stoltz will follow Green out the door.

axman. Useless as a Councilor. Hmmm. How would you compare him to some other Councilors such as Stoltz, Wilbur, Koehler, ????

Hall has something the others lack, and that is the ability to lead. This town needs a leader, not front men/women for vested interest groups.

Does anyone know who Sherrie greenie and stoltz are supporting?
I doubt Zurowski is in with those two.
As for hall, he seems a little to career oriented on the public trough.

I’m no fan of Stolz, Wilbur et al either, but I really don’t think Hall is any more of a leader then any of them are.

Hall is a bit too much of a sit back and play it safe opportunist for my liking. We need a leader and he’s not it.

I have a one PAC mind!

Do you support the PAC idea Lyn? Yes? Next!

Green will be voting Zurowski. The same people that financed her campaign are backing him. Another puppet

In my dealings with Hall, he’s a guy who likes to pass the buck on to others. School closures? Blame the government.

No leadership skills and willing to sit on his ass while the city burns down around him.

if Don supported Green, i will not be getting my vote!!!

I have had dealings with both of these gentlemen and with Don, I was treated with respect and fairness. With Lynn, myself and the organization I was with, was back doored by him. He in the end he did not win as an insider alerted us to his doings.

Slinky “Looks like a bigger crowd than the BCTF rally yesterday…just an obsevation”

I didn’t realize there were that many misguided souls in Prince George that would listen to Lyn Hall….just an observation.

lildigger “Does anyone know who Sherrie greenie and stoltz are supporting?”

Stoltz was all over Hall like a puppy dog today just like he used to be all over Green.
