Training for the Big Ride

Prince George, B.C.- The training  is already underway for the  Cops for Cancer Tour de North bike ride.

The Tour will  take the 850 km east-west route this year,  leaving from Prince George on  September 12th, and arriving in Prince Rupert on September 18th.

There are 29  riders  this year from communities throughout the north.  There are 6  folks in the  Prince George contingent, including  4 RCMP  officers from the Prince George detachment one person from the community and one  from the  BC Ambulance Service.

Each rider  raises at least $3,000 to support kids with cancer and their families.

Since it started 13 years ago, Tour de North has raised more than $2 million for pediatric cancer research and support programs.
