Prince George, B.C.- A “Wildfire Smoke Advisory” has been issued for the City of Prince George because of smoke from wildfires.
The City is blanketed in a blue haze as a result of smoke from wildfires.
Smoke has been building up in the Prince George area since last evening, current hourly average PM2.5 concentrations are 58 micrograms per cubic metre, and the 24 hour average is 26 micrograms per cubic metre.
Smoke concentrations will vary widely as winds, fire behaviour and temperatures change.
The AQ Advisory means the City of Prince George will be offering Free Fare for Clean Air, ( free transit rides) starting tomorrow and lasting untl midnight of the day the advisory is cancelled.

if they were truly serious about this one would think that the free rides would start as soon as the advisory was called and go to midnight of the day it is cancelled… would make more sense.
Oh I am sorry, what was I thinking, things aren’t supposed to make sense.
