Prince George, B.C.- The Prince George Hospice Society’s new Dream Home is open for inspection and  it’s a beauty.

The two story  home is located on Stillwater Crescent,  in the same area  where  two  previous  Hospice  Dream Homes have been located.

The Dream Home Lottery gives  ticket buyers an opportunity to  own  the  home which features a wide open plan on the main floor, with  an impressive pantry,  distressed style cabinetry on the island, and rich  finish cabinets for the remainder of the  kitchen area. (see photo at right)

New to the  lottery is  that  all appliances in the kitchen,  furniture in the dining room, living room and master bedroom, are all included in the  lottery.

( at left,  living room)   Upstairs,   the master bedroom  boasts an ensuite that has a  soaker tub, and double wide  shower,  there is also a  walk in closet that  has  ample space for  any  fashionista.

There are two more bedrooms , a laundry room and a  family room  upstairs as well.

Buying a ticket   on this dream home is more than just  a chance to  live in luxury,  it is an opportunity to support three palliative care beds at the Hospice House  on Clapperton Street as all proceeds  from the  lottery will go towards supporting those three beds.

Tickets on the   home are available at the Dream Home on Stillwater Crescent and will soon be available on line as well. Tickets are $100 each, the  draw for the home will be on January 15th, 2015.

Man I wish they would change locations! Every time I go down that way I can smell the sewage treatment plant.

We have lived down here for almost 3 years never smelt a thing.

I agree great cause, but bad location. Why anyone would want to build in that location is a mystery unless they are getting land cheep and have a bad sense of smell.

I agree, great cause but horrible location.. once they knock down the trees to the river all you will be hearing is CN rail and the other noises from the industrial site..let alone the sewage plant odor.

I buy a ticket every year, and if I would be lucky enough to win it the first thing I would buy would be a for sale sign for it.

You mean the sewage plant down by the Superstore?? How is that anywhere near Creekside? I have never ever smelled sewage down here in my life, so I think your facts are completely wrong. Granted you can hear the trains passing by softly in the night but I actually enjoy that sound. It’s not for everyone, I suppose.

Also, I’m happy to hear that you would sell the house if you won. We like to get together for neighbourhood block parties and have our children play in a positive environment… you know the typical “Hell Yeah PG” type of people down here. Your surly negative attitudes probably wouldn’t fit in here.

It’s a beautiful neighbourhood surrounded by a forrest and a quick walk to the river. I hope many people purchase tickets for this wonderful cause and disregard your false statements about the “sewage plant” being nearby… too funny.

Also, no one is “knocking down the trees” to the river. Not only is this “greenbelt” it’s actually zoned as “park”.

I’ve smelled nothing whatsoever here !!

No the sewage plant just up the river from you. Surprised you didnt know about it.. no idea there is a sewage plant near superstore…

BTW my neighbourhood has get togethers too and its a blast.. and thanks for labelling me so fast.. not sure any person doing that is the kind of person I would want kids around :)

They have to have street parties, the lot sizes are too small to actually be able to do anything in them.

Sorry, I meant that the water treatment plant is by the Superstore which doesn’t smell very pleasant. Well I guess it goes to show that it certainly doesn’t smell here if I wasn’t even aware of a sewage plant. I was just offended because I know that the Hospice dream house is for an excellent cause and I wouldn’t want people to think poorly of our neighbourhood based on a false accusation. I’m sure you all have great neighbourhoods too with street parties and whatnot. I was just trying to tell you about our neighbourhood. Also, the lots aren’t too bad actually. I have direct access to the forrest which I love.

We have street parties because we have bouncy castles for our children :) . Not sure if you could fit 50+ people, bouncy castles, tents and a bunch of kids in your backyard. If you can, good for you. Enjoy your acreage! Be negative if you want but please don’t give the wrong impression about our neighbourhood (I wouldn’t have commented had it been something that was actually true… each location has its flaws, after all). And don’t worry, kids will love me and hate me… I’m a teacher so I’m used to it ;)
