Smoke Advisory Remains In Effect for P.G.

Prince George, B.C.- The Wildfire Smoke Advisory for Prince George remains in effect.
Readings at the Plaza 400 site at noon today, had the 24 hour rolling average for PM2.5 at 41 micrograms per cubic metre. The provincial target is 25 micrograms per cubic metre.
Levels of PM10 were also high, with a 24 hour rolling average of 68 micrograms per cubic metre.

With the air quality as bad as it is from the wildfires around our area one would think that the West Fraser sawmill at Lejac (Fraser Lake) could somehow curtail their contribution to the bad air quality. I look across the lake and it looks like a small forest fire with all the smoke coming from their Bee Hive burner.
Crazy the province still allows beehive burners in any circumstance???
beehive burners that are still permitted have to be graphed so a record of there heat is on paper and if it is smoking its not hot enough and fines can be levied ,, file a complaint ,, quit trying to put out a dead forest also .. it creates smoke ,, costs hundreds of thousands of dollars ,,, make fire breaks instead where it may threaten homes and people,,, put retardant there, let it burn, its how it renews itself and less smoke… would let as all breathe
easier :)
I think most of us willingly agree that this summer is unusually hot, and the air quality unusually poor due to the unusually high number of forest fires.
