Quesnel Robbery Suspect Arrested

Quesnel, B.C. – A Quesnel man is in custody following a robbery late last night.
RCMP Constable Krista Vrolyk says it took place shortly before 11 pm at a business located in the 1200 block of Maple Heights Road.
She says an investigation revealed the 40 year old suspect had entered the store wearing a mask, robbed it, then fled on foot.
Vrolyk says he was apprehended nearby a short time later.
She says police are recommending charges of Robbery, two counts of Assaulting a Police Officer, as well as Mischief and Disguise with Intent.
Vrolyk says the suspect is known to police and will appear in court later today.

Its really too bad that they can’t just keep these types in jail until they go to court. They could always be sentenced to time served.
We would all be a lot safer if this were to happen.
