Perfect Weather for Toy Run
Prince George, B.C. – It was a perfect day for the annual Salvation Army Toy Run in Prince George.
Hundreds of bikers joined the cause including Dave Meakin, who says it’s the 11th year he’s taken part.
“It’s a good cause. You’re supporting community but it’s about the kids. It always makes you feel pretty good.”
Business Coordinator Bill Glasgow with the Salvation Army says the toys go to kids of all ages during the holiday season.
“We do around 800 hampers at Christmas time.”
Today’s event filled 10 watermelon cartons with toys and stuffed animals, and collected more than 31 hundred dollars in donations of cash and gift cards.
“The Salvation Army cannot forget to thank to The Harley Davidson Owners Group for starting this event 33 years ago and continued support making it a success each and every year”, said Captain Neil Wilkinson, adding, “It is events such as this that make serving this community an honor.”
The 465 riders left CN Centre at noon, drove through Prince George and up to the Hart before returning early this afternoon

A photo of 465 plus bikes and riders may have had more impact. It was a pretty impressive sight to see and to experience. Nobody else had pictures to post?
IF it was advertized somewhere…before hand… maybe there”d be more pics
