Crook Seeks Mayor’s Chair in Mackenzie

Mackenzie, B.C.- District of Mackenzie Councillor Pat Crook, has announced he is seeking the job of Mayor of the District of Mackenzie.
Current Mayor, Stephanie Killam, has made it clear she will not be seeking re-election and stood by Crook’s side today as he announced his political intentions. She has been the Mayor since 2005, having served 9 years on council before moving into that post.
Crook has served as a Councilor since 2008. Since then, he has participated in many committees and boards including the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George, the Prince George Treaty Advisory Board and the Mackenzie Library Board.
His wife Barbara is the Health Services Administrator for Mackenzie.
Pat also works and has participated in the Mackenzie Health Care Advisory Committee, the Northern Health Primary Health Care committee, and the Mackenzie Healthy Community committee;Mackenzie Gets Healthy

I have known Pat Crook for over 30+ years…he is one of the kindest, gentle, honourable and by far smartest man you will ever meet….Mackenzie will prosper under his leadership…well done Pat…
