Determination & Commitment Drives Warrington’s Re-election Bid
Prince George, B.C. – A familiar face has decided to run for her fourth term as School Trustee in School District 57.
Board Chairperson Sharel Warrington says it’s because she still has important work to do.
“I made a commitment in 2005 to work on behalf of our students to ensure learning conditions for students, working conditions for employees, and building relationships with our partners. And those commitments haven’t changed.”
She says that work includes ensuring students aren’t left behind.
“We know that we have students that do slip through the cracks and we don’t want that to happen.”
And Warrington says the needs of students today are different than they were many years ago.
“Schools take on a lot of social issues that they never took on years and years ago. And those issues need to be addressed with proper programs, proper supports, counselling, all of those needs that the school system is working very hard to introduce.”
She says she looks forward to support from the community to get re-elected.
“I promise to do all that I have done before and more because I have that determination and commitment. It’s deeper now than ever before.”
