Prince George, B.C. – Organizers of the 21st annual Spirit of the North Festival of Trees are busy putting the final touches on this year’s event.
It kicks off tonight with a fashion show from 6 to 11 p.m. before opening to the general public at 9 a.m. tomorrow.
Coordinator Shirli-Gene Sadowick says 25 decorated trees will be on display, plus live auction items and “a beautiful gift store.”
The community dinner and dance goes tomorrow from 6:30 to 1 a.m. and a family brunch takes place on Sunday.
Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation CEO Judy Neiser says they don’t have a fundraising goal but notes $430,000 was raised last year with net proceeds going directly to healthcare in the north.
