Prince George, B.C. – The Prince George RCMP has announced it will be targetting people with outstanding arrest warrants this winter. policecarnew

Corporal Craig Douglass says from now until the end of winter four officers will be tasked with hunting down as many as 324 people.

He says some warrants date back as far as 1980 and notes charges range from minor offences to serious offences including Sexual Assault, Fraud, Impaired Driving and Assault.

Of those 324 16% (53) are female and 40% (130) are believed to be out of province including other countries such as the United States, United Kingdom & Switzerland.

Douglass says a similar initiative last winter led to the arrest of over 50 wanted people and led to the arrest of 29 others while seizing almost three ounces of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin.

If you have any information about people wanted by police you can either call the RCMP detachment at 250-561-3300 or call Crime Stoppers.

Maybe they should start going after some of these people around town that are neck deep in high end cars, trucks, snowmobiles, quads etc that don’t have a job, have an inheritance, or have won a lottery. One in particular lives in the VLA. It really burns me to see working people struggle to support their families and people like this drug dealer do nothing but play year around.
