Prince George, B.C. – Operation Red Nose Prince George broke in the new year in style, delivering its 10,000th ride (over 17 years) just before midnight Wednesday.
In fact the anti-drunk driving service delivered 1,123 rides in 9 nights during this year’s campaign, which tied a record high first reached in 2010.
“We had an outstanding season,” said Operation Red Nose spokesperson Andrea Johnson.
“We are grateful for our dedicated volunteers who sacrificed part of their weekends to help keep Prince George roads safe during the holiday season. We are also thankful for the clients who chose to give us a call.”
The 1,123 rides provided this year in Prince George was good for second place province wide, just behind Kamloops.
