Northern Patient Being Tested for Ebola
Prince George, B.C. – A patient in Northern B.C. is being tested for the deadly Ebola virus.
The Ministry of Health confirmed the news this afternoon though they wouldn’t indicate who was being tested or where it is taking place.
“The Regional Health Authorities are monitoring a number of people across the province who have recently returned from working in West Africa. Out of an abundance of caution, and to enable routine care, a returning traveller in the North has been tested to rule out Ebola. As with any patient, we must respect their privacy, and will not comment further until results are back and we have something concrete to say,” read a statement.
“Of course, if there were ever any risk to the public, we would communicate that immediately. Everything at this point does not indicate a case of Ebola, but given travel history the testing is being performed. We expect to be able to communicate more in the coming days.”

So to avoid confusion and panic just stay at home for the next two weeks and don’t talk to, or have contact with people you don’t know. Clear as mud, why even bothering to say anything about it??
From the health authority that allows HIV positive nurses to inject people!
Oh by the way CKPG news said local resident!
I don’t trust the Northern Health Authority, but suppose that this is the best way they can think of to manage the public. That is; to tell them that there may be a problem, but not to worry about it.
metalman.
Quite an abuse our ‘free’ health system. This individual should have quarantined themselves back in Africa. And just how long has the federal government had a no travel advisory out for west Africa? This is isn’t like a skiing accident, so this dummy had no good reason to be there in the first place.
