Alzheimer’s Walk Helps Fight Dementia
Prince George, B.C. – Prince George residents can help raise awareness about dementia by participating in the Investors Group Walk for Memories later today.
It’s in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. and 24 communities across the province will be participating.
A special feature of this year’s walk is each participating community has chosen an honoree family to share their experience living with the disease.
The honourary family here in Prince George is Jim and Lou Ellerton.
“The walk is a great opportunity to help families like ours, to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease to help people understand there is a lot of life to live,” said Jim Ellerton.
The P.G. walk will take place at the Northern Sport Centre from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
