Prince George, B .C. – A crash  on Highway 16 west at  the Blackwater Road turn off has  closed  the highway  at that point.

Two semi tractor  trailer units have collided, blocking the  highway.  The crash occurred  around 8:30 this evening.

Emergency personnel are just arriving on scene  and  details of injuries or the cause of the crash  will be  known at a later time.

There is  a detour  around the site for small passenger  traffic by  taking the Blackwater Road, however,  heavy commercial units are not allowed on that road because of weight restrictions.
