Lac La Hache, B.C.- One person has died in a crash north of Lac La Hache on Highway 97.The collision between a semi and a pick up truck  occurred on Highway 97 about 15  kilometers north of Lac La Hache.

Investigators are on scene trying to determine the the cause of the crash as a result, Highway 97 is closed in both directions  at that location.

Drive BC reports there is a detour available to light traffic only.

An alternate route would be highway 24 to highway 5.

Drive BC   says the estimated time of  the highway re-opening is 11:30 this morning.
