Quesnel, B.C. – About 40 students on a school bus in Quesnel this  morning had their day get off to a very rough start.  Their school bus was  slammed by an SUV.RCMP say  the collision happened just after 7:30 this morning when the school bus,  which was east bound on Stebbe Road,  was struck by an SUV near Jane Road.

The students on the bus were checked on scene by Emergency Medical personnel.  Fortunately none of the students was  injured, and  all  were put on another bus and taken to school.

The bus  received only minor damage,  the SUV on the other hand  had to be towed from the scene.

The driver of the SUV, an 18 year old male, has been issued a violation ticket for Failing to Yield.
