Prince George, B.C. –  RCMP in Prince George are keeping mum on  details  surrounding the discovery of what  is believed to be human remains, west of the City.

(at right,  string of police vehicles at  site  where  remains were found – photo250News)As 250News reported yesterday,  police have  secured a site  on a forest service road about 35 kms west of the City.  Contrary to some media reports, the site is  nowhere near the Bednesti area off highway 16.

Area residents first noticed the police activity  in their  normally quiet  rural  area around 7 Sunday morning.

Police had indicated they had hoped to  release more information on the matter  this morning,   the latest update from  Prince George RCMP  is that there will be no  update forthcoming this  morning.

It is not clear when new information,  such as  confirmation  the remains are in fact human  how the discovery was made, and  if human,  the identity of the deceased,  may be released.
